Much transfer speculation and discussion has concerned Peterborough United this summer with the Posh proving very active in the window.

A number of players have come in and left so far with Steve Evans looking to assemble a side capable of getting promoted this campaign coming.

Two men, though, who remain at the club perhaps a tad surprisingly are Marcus Maddison and Jack Marriott with the pair heavily linked with moves away in recent weeks.

Indeed, not so long ago Football Insider was reporting that Leeds were hot on the heels of signing Marcus Maddison but that has gone quiet and it looks as though he is no nearer the exit door.

Indeed, as quoted by the Peterborough Telegraph - via Derbyshire Live - Posh manager Steve Evans has said that he has been told that Maddison remains available until told otherwise:

“The chairman has told me to plan for Jack and Marcus to be available until he tells me otherwise.”

The Verdict

At present, then, it looks as though Maddison, despite a transfer request, will be staying put at London Road.

A player with obvious quality, the Posh want to get as good a deal as possible for him and with them tough negotiators it looks as though Leeds or any other side is so far unable to get things moving.
