Premier League giants Manchester United have joined Arsenal in the race to sign Birmingham City forward Che Adams, according to reports from the Mirror.

The 22-year old has emerged as one of the most in-demand players in the EFL, and was linked with a move away to many high-profile clubs in January after a hugely impressive season so far.

The attacker has been influential in Birmingham’s push for promotion to the Premier League, scoring 19 goals and producing three assists in 34 appearances this campaign.

Southampton and Burnley were reportedly interested in signing the prolific forward in January, with reports claiming that the latter had a £9million bid rejected - but reports have now surfaced that Manchester United and Arsenal have now joined the race to sign the attacker.

Scouts from the Red Devils, the Gunners, Celtic and Watford were all present at St. Andrew's on Tuesday night, as Adams looked to find the net in seven consecutive matches, which would have matched Trevor Francis' all-time record at Birmingham.

Garry Monk's men currently sit 9th in the Sky Bet Championship table, after a 1-0 defeat to Bolton in midweek.

The Verdict

This really doesn't come as a surprise to see these high-profile clubs being linked with a move to sign Adams.

The 21-year old has been incredible ever since he joined Sheffield United from non-league side Ilkeston Town, and he has the ability to reach the very top in my personal opinion.

He's quick, strong and powerful and has an eye for goal of course - he'd be a fantastic signing for United or Arsenal.
