Dean Henderson is somebody who seems to get better and better with each week that passes with a place in an elite team seeming more a matter of when not if.
After helping Shrewsbury Town to a shock play-off final last season, and being included in the third tier’s team of the season, he was loaned out by Manchester United again, this time to Sheffield United.
And once again, he has stepped up his game. Playing every single minute for the Blades so far this season, the 21-year-old has become a stand-out name in the Championship.
Chris Wilder’s side currently sit third in the Championship table with 30 matches played, just three points behind table-toppers Norwich City and second-placed Leeds United.
They are well in the hunt for an automatic promotion spot, and Henderson has played a big part in that.
So much so, in fact, that Tottenham Hotspur and Juventus are reportedly looking to bring him into their respective clubs in the near future, according to ESPN.
But what should the shot-stopper be thinking?
Well, the short answer is, nothing.
Chances are that there is no substance to the report whatsoever. He remains a Manchester United player and his long-term aim should remain unchanged.
It would be a huge surprise if he is not playing in the Premier League next season, regardless of whether the Blades are promoted, and there is little Henderson needs to do for that to happen.
He simply has to maintain his current professionalism and the rest will come.
