Manchester City are lining up the summer swoop of Norwich City right-back Max Aarons.

TEAMtalk are reporting that the current champions of English football want the highly-rated youngster after an impressive breakout season.

Aarons has featured 31 times for the table-topping Canaries and has two goals, and five assists to his name.

The 19-year-old has ‘mesmerised’ scouts, according to TEAMtalk after a flourishing debut campaign in the first team.

Having come through the youth system at Carrow Road, he arrived at the Norfolk side signing from Luton Town three years ago.

Aarons is tied down to a long-term deal with the Championship high-fliers and having been watched on several occasions; there is a feeling he could move to the Etihad and immediately have an effect.

The verdict

What a season it has been for Aarons so far having starred for the Canaries in their stellar campaign to date.

Aarons has been one of Norwich’s most consistent performers and one of the principal reasons as to why they are battling it out for the Championship title.

It would be a huge blow for the Daniel Farke if the right-back was to leave in the summer, but he has the potential to go on to be a star, be it at Norwich or elsewhere.
