Wolverhampton Wanderers striker Leo Bonatini enjoyed a wonderful October, and has been suitably named as a candidate for the Player of the Month award.

The joint top-scorer in the league for the month, which included five goals and four in his last four appearances, Bonatini took his season’s tally to nine strikes, an impressive haul for a player new to the division.

The Brazilian has been central to Wolves’ success this season, which has seen boss Nuno Espirito Santo’s side rise to the summit of the Championship table.

The only recognised senior striker on the books at Molineux, Bonatini has led the line for the Black Country outfit, and his goals tally has seen him rise to the top of the Championship goalscoring charts, and it would take a brave soul to bet against the 23-year-old taking the gong at the end of the season.

Bonatini took to Twitter to plead with fans to vote for him for the October award, and Wolves fans have had their say on the player’s performances over the past five weeks…
