Portsmouth made it four wins from five games with an impressive 3-1 success at promotion rivals Sunderland yesterday.
Boss Kenny Jackett has come in for fierce criticism from a significant section of the support this season but the board have stuck with the ex-Wolves chief and their patience has been rewarded in recent weeks.
A strong performance and win at Gillingham was followed up by another three points at the Stadium of Light, with Pompey ending the Black Cats unbeaten start in the process.
As well as the victory, fans were encouraged by the display, with the team looking comfortable in a 4-4-2 formation. They remained solid at the back and had a constant threat up top, with John Marquis benefitting from this switch in particular.
Given the stick he has received in the opening weeks, the stance from the fans towards Jackett is starting to ease and here we look at some of the comments about the manager from Twitter…
Remember all those #Pompey fans wanting Jacket out.
Just goes to show

Can’t believe I’m saying this but Jackett is making me eat my words at the moment. Am I a fan of him? No. Does he deserve longer in the role regardless of general opinions on him? Yes. Great performance yesterday, and Marquis having Wearside on strings #pompey
