Sheffield Wednesday drew 1-1 with Blackburn Rovers at Ewood Park this afternoon and many Owls fans have been left frustrated by the performance of Callum Paterson.

Joe Rothwell's late goal denied Tony Pulis' side a second win on the bounce as the Rovers man capped off a mazy run with a smart finish.

An Adam Reach wonder strike had given the Owls the lead four minutes before halftime but the visitors were unable to hang on to secure what would've been just a second victory under Pulis.

The result leaves Wednesday second-bottom in the Championship and it appears in their frustration, many fans of the Yorkshire club have been heavily critical of Paterson's performance.

The Scotsman joined from Cardiff City in the summer to strengthen the Owls' striking options but has managed just two goals so far.

He was used in midfield against Blackburn but struggled to make much of an impact going forward, not registering a single shot or key pass, connecting with just 45% of his passes, and losing possession 19 times (Sofascore).

Did these 20 things happen to Sheffield Wednesday in 2020?

Paterson's performance was symptomatic of an underwhelming Wednesday display and many fans have taken to Twitter to vent their frustration.
