Many Derby supporters have been reacting to the latest update over Mason Bennett’s future, with the attacker set to join Millwall on loan for the rest of the season, according to the Telegraph reporter John Percy.

Bennett has struggled to really establish himself in Derby’s starting line-up so far this campaign, due to a mixture of injury problems and the form of some of the Rams’ other options in the forward area, which has seen him be limited to just seven Championship appearances so far.

The 23-year-old did play a key role in the Rams’ push for promotion last season under Frank Lampard, with his versatility seeing him operate in both the wide positions and up front at times throughout the campaign, as he scored three goals and assisted four in 33 Championship appearances.

However, when the forward has featured for the Rams this season, he has been unable to really have much of an impact on matches, which suggests he could struggle to force his way back into the side during the rest of the campaign.

Bennett is out of contract in the summer, although the Rams are reportedly keen on extending his stay at Pride Park, but a move to Millwall which would see him reunite with former manager Gary Rowett could be a good option for him to go out and re-find his form.

Some Derby fans, though, have been suggesting that they would like to see the move be completed on a permanent basis in the summer, while other have been hoping that a potential move for Bennett could see the Rams be able to add another attacking option themselves before the window shuts.

Here then, we take a look at what Derby supporters have been saying about Bennett’s situation on social media…
