Jerome Sinclair signing for Sunderland on a season-long loan has gone down very well with most of the club’s supporters.

The 21-year-old striker has moved to the Stadium of Light from Watford.

Sinclair will be tasked with getting the goals that can remedy Sunderland’s recent poor form that resulted in two successive relegations.

Promotion back to the Championship will be the aim with the striker dropping down two divisions having made five Premier League appearances for the Hornets last term.

The former England U16 and U17 striker is Jack Ross’ eighth summer singing at the north-east club.

Sunderland fans have been in the doldrums for the past two years after a double drop from the Premier League to now be playing in the third tier.

But being able to pull off a singing a player of Sinclair’s calibre is something that has made them smile.

Here are how Sunderland fans reacted on Twitter to the news Watford’s striker has moved to the Stadium of Light for the forthcoming season.
