Cardiff City midfielder Will Vaulks has expressed his excitement at returning to fight for his place in the Bluebirds side under new manager Neil Harris.

Vaulks joined Cardiff from Rotherham during the summer following his former club's relegation from the Championship, but he has struggled for minutes in South Wales having made just one league start to date.

The 26-year-old failed to break into Neil Warnock's first-team plans towards the end of his reign, with the former boss preferring to stick with the likes of Marlon Pack, Joe Ralls and Leandro Bacuna in the holding midfield roles.

This means Vaulks has not featured for the Bluebirds since a brief cameo appearances against Huddersfield back in August, but he has now declared he is ready to kick on at the club following Harris' appointment as Warnock's successor.

Vaulks took to Twitter to share the message in the aftermath of Wales' qualification for Euro 2020 on Tuesday evening.
