It's been a poor season for Nottingham Forest, who's supporters would have hoped for more than a relegation battle at the start of the season.

With new manager Mark Warburton now at the helm, things have somewhat picked up in recent weeks but it's clear there's still work to do in the East Midlands if Forest are to return to their former glory.

Off-the-field worries and ownership problems have blighted the club in recent seasons whilst things on the pitch haven't been that much better either.

This is a club that should be competing for the play-off places season-after-season, not struggling with the relegation worriers.

And ahead of a much-needed squad overhaul this summer, we want to take a look at a couple of Forest players' for whom the future looks very unclear indeed.

So with that in mind, here's the TWO Nottingham Forest players who's futures are well and truly in limbo this summer...

Ben Brereton

He's been one of the high points of an otherwise disappointing season and there are many Forest fans who will be hoping Ben Brereton sticks around a lot longer than former starlet Oliver Burke.

Scottish winger Burke made the high-profile move to RB Leipzig last summer and 17-year-old Brereton looks like he could follow suit, with some of the biggest names in football reportedly tracking his progress.

And whilst his first-team future at the City Ground certainly isn't in doubt if he stays, he's certainly one that might leave the club if a big-money offer comes in this summer.

Armand Traore

Former Arsenal defender Armand Traore has only featured a handful of times for the Reds this season, and there's plenty of Forest fans tipping him to leave the club this summer.

The 27-year-old left-back played no football last season and at times, that level of match fitness has showed and he's looked a shadow of the player we saw at times during his spell with QPR, arguably the best of his career.

He's certainly a man that might leave the club this summer.
