Wolverhampton Wanderers simply must respond tonight as they face Reading in a vital Championship clash for their title hopes.

It remains hard to believe that the club that was so far ahead in the league has now been reeled in but another slip-up tonight could see Cardiff cut the points gap to nothing and so they simply have to respond.

There's no reason why the shouldn't of course, when you consider the players that they have available, but if they don't start quickly and brightly the apprehension and anxiety around the ground is only going to grow.

Wolves need to put out a statement that they are still the side to beat, then, and it'll be interesting to see who Nuno Santo picks in his side to try and deliver that.

Certainly, we've been thinking about their potential XI this evening, too, and we're wondering whether it might be best that Santo gets ruthless with Leo Bonatini and cuts him from the side.

That, then, is exactly what we asked on Twitter and this was the response:

Most Wolves fans that voted seem inclined to agree that Nuno needs to be cut-throat with his team selection this evening, then, and now we'll wait and see if that is what happens.
