Mark Warburton will be delighted with Nottingham Forest’s start to the Sky Bet Championship season, with the Reds bouncing back from their relegation scare last year.

Forest have picked up 12 points from their opening seven fixtures, and have recovered from recent defeats to Leeds United and Sheffield Wednesday, recording a 1-0 victory over Sunderland during the week.

Warburton made a handful of changes to his Forest squad ahead of the 2017/18 campaign, with experienced players like Liam Bridcutt and Daryl Murphy arriving.

Another player who has arrived, and impressed, is Barrie McKay, who was signed from Rangers for a reported fee of £500k.

The 22-year-old’s valuation, according to TransferMarkt, has already risen to £630k, after an impressive start to life in the Championship with Forest.

McKay has already scored twice for Forest in the Championship this season, adding four assists to that total for the Reds.

The latest of those assists came against Sunderland, where the winger stepped off the bench to set up Murphy for Forest’s winning goal in the 1-0 victory at the Stadium of Light.

With McKay’s valuation on TransferMarkt so low for a young player, we asked our Twitter followers how much they believed the 22-year-old was worth in a poll.

43% of FLW’s followers believe that McKay is worth between £5m and £10m.
