Wolverhampton Wanderers’ official Twitter account have confirmed that Helder Costa will be one of a number of players assessed before the clash with Bristol City this weekend.

Costa missed Wolves’ victory over Nottingham Forest on Tuesday, pulling out minutes before kick-off with an ankle injury.

Paul Lambert’s side did not miss Costa, as they recorded a 1-0 victory over Forest, taking their winning streak to five consecutive games.

That victory took Wolves past the 50-point mark, which is regarded as the benchmark for survival in the Sky Bet Championship.

Wolves should now be able to enjoy the Championship run-in, starting with Saturday’s visit to Ashton Gate, where Lambert will be hopeful his side can continue their impressive form.

Costa’s absence will undoubtedly be a blow, with the winger influential across the campaign for Wolves, scoring 12 goals and adding a further eight assists.

Lambert will also be without first-choice goalkeeper Carl Ikeme for tomorrow’s clash, with the 30-year old not considered for selection due to injury.
