Daniel James is set to undergo a medical at Manchester United as he edges closer to completing his multi-million pound move from Swansea according to Football Insider.

The Red Devils agreed a £15m fee for James (according to Sky Sports), who has been in impressive form for Swansea since the turn of the year.

Personal terms are also believed to have been completed, so the deal is nearing a completion, which will be pleasing to see for the Old Trafford faithful.

The Welshman has four goals and seven assists to his name in the Championship this season, and this good run of form seemingly hasn't gone unnoticed with Manchester United closing in on his signature.

James has been one of the most sought-after young talents in football, but it could have been very different if he had moved to a Championship club in January.

The winger was set to sign for Leeds United, but a deal fell through in the final stages of January's transfer window, with Swansea reportedly pulling out of the deal according to the Yorkshire Evening Post.

But James hasn't let this impact his performances on the field, and he has been Swansea's main creative outlet for the second-half of this year's campaign.

He'll be keen to have the move completed at the earliest of opportunities, but it does seem as though we are slowly edging closer to seeing James head to Old Trafford in the near future.

The Verdict:

It's only a matter of time before this deal is completed.

I have to admit that I'm surprised by James opting to move to Manchester United, as I'm really not convinced that he'll be getting the game time he needs to develop.

Only time will tell, but Manchester United have certainly got an exciting talent on their hands.
