Maguire has been strongly linked with a move away from Bramall Lane.

Maguire,21, has been heavily linked with a move away from the Blades this summer. Fulham and Wolves of the Championship have both reportedly made offers for the centre-back as well as Hull City of the Premier League.

Speaking to Sky Sports, Maguire stated:”Playing in the Premier League and Europe will be a dream for me at this stage of my career.

“I’ve played nearly 170 games, I’m just 21 and the Sheffield United fans know I’ve given my all in every game I’ve played.”

The statement fuels speculation that Hull City are his preferred destination. The Tigers are facing up to a season in the Europa League and manager Steve Bruce has been keen to add depth to his squad.

Additionally the Sheffield United’s summer signing of Walsall centre-back Andy Butler suggests that the Blades are already preparing for life beyond Harry Maguire.

The Blades are holding out for a fee in the region of £3m for the home-grown centre-back, it remains to be seen whether there is a club willing to meet the valuation.
