QPR beat Middlesbrough 3-2 at the Riverside yesterday to continue their strong start to the season and many fans have been raving about the performance of Chris Willock.
Despite seeing Moses Odubajo sent off five minutes into the second half when the scores were level at 1-1, Mark Warburton’s side were able to come away with all three points in the North East with Willock playing a vital role.
The R’s forward chipped a ball through to Lyndon Dykes to hammer in the R’s second just before the hour mark and then four minutes after Matt Crooks had grabbed an equaliser for Boro, the 23-year-old turned goalscorer and slid the winner into the bottom corner.
That means Willock has now scored twice and added an assist in three Championship games this season, in what has been a hugely impressive start to the 2021/22 campaign.
Warburton’s side now sit third in the Championship, only behind league leaders West Bromwich Albion on goal difference.
Have QPR won or lost more against each of these 25 English teams?
Fans of the west London club were certainly jubilant after last night’s game and many took to Twitter to heap praise on Willock after his matchwinning performance.

So it wasn’t a dream. That second half did actually happen. So so proud of my club. Every one involved was magnificent but what a player Chris Willock is going to be. Also a word for big Jordy..superb. #QPR

@QPR Chris willock is the man. Lyndon has always been my favourite and the 10min was a stretch but we held our own. Fair play to all the lads for giving us fans something good to watch

Think Chris Willock and Rob Dickie might be the best two players ever.#QPR
