Portsmouth remain in the hunt for automatic promotion from League One, after a point at rivals Sunderland left Kenny Jackett's side in third spot in the table, four points behind Luton and Barnsley but with a game in hand, with only two matches remaining.

Pompey now face a midweek clash with Peterborough before hosting Accrington Stanley on the final day of the season, looking to steal an automatic spot and avoid the end of season play-off lottery.

So, does Kenny Jackett deserve more praise for getting Portsmouth back on track?

We discuss........

Benjamin Lang

“He does, yes.

“They suffered a huge loss of form and are now in good shape for promotion.

“The transfer window helped, although looking at the squad it was the competition it brought, not the personnel.

“I think they’ll go up this season, they’re a decent side.”

Toby Wilding

"Definitely.

"Portsmouth didn't look to have had any chance of automatic promotion not too long ago, whereas now they are best placed to pounce should one of the top two slip up.

"Doing that alongside the achievement of Checkatrade Trophy victory certainly deserves some recognition for Jackett."

Alfie Burns

“Absolutely, I think he’s a top manager.

“The experience he has is something we all know about, but he’s in a very competitive promotion race here and to get Pompey on the run they are on is magnificent.

“Nobody will be surprised to see them sneak that automatic promotion spot.”
