Derby County are one of four Championship clubs who are hoping to sign Liverpool winger Harry Wilson before Friday's domestic deadline passes.

The Welsh international is highly unlikely to get any minutes for the Reds this season and having failed to secure a transfer in the international window, the second tier is the only realistic option left open to Wilson if he wants to play before January.

And, Telegraph reporter John Percy has revealed that Nottingham Forest, Swansea and Cardiff have joined the Rams in trying to bring the 23-year-old on a temporary basis.

Whilst it has since been reported that the Swans are favourites for his signature, Wilson enjoyed a hugely successful spell with Derby under Frank Lampard, scoring 16 goals as the Rams reached the play-off final. So, they will hope the connection the player had with the club can swing things their way if it comes down to it.
