It was a good night for Watford in the race for Championship promotion on Tuesday, as they thrashed Rotherham United 4-1 at The New York Stadium.

Goals from Francisco Sierralta, Ismaila Sarr and Ken Sema gave Watford a comfortable 3-0 lead at half time in that game, and although Freddie Ladapo pulled one back for the hosts, after Hornets goalkeeper Daniel Bachmann had saved a Michael Smith penalty, Dan Gosling then netted his first Watford goal to secure all three points for Xisco Munoz' side.

With automatic promotion rivals Brentford and Swansea both dropping points, Watford are now second in the Championship table, three points clear of the play-off places, albeit having played a game more than those other two sides.

Perhaps not surprisingly therefore, plenty of Watford fans were delighted as they took to Twitter to give their thoughts on the game, and one player that many were keen to praise, was Philip Zinckernagel.

The winger proved influential throughout the course of the game, playing a role in setting up all three first half goals for the Hornets, with the January signing continuing to look ever more at home in his new surroundings.

That is something that did not go unnoticed by a number of Watford fans, and here, we take a look at what some of them had to say about the 26-year-old's latest performance.
