Nottingham Forest supporters have been reflecting on former manager Billy Davies' time in charge at the City Ground, and are suggesting some reasons why he has not managed to get another managerial job since leaving the club for the second time in 2014.

Davies took over at Nottingham Forest for his first spell in charge of the club in January 2009, having led rivals Derby County to promotion to the Premier League via the play-offs in the 2006/07 season, and he managed to get the Reds challenging towards the top of the Championship guiding the club to a third place finish in the 2009/10 campaign.

However, Nottingham Forest were beaten 2-1 away and 4-3 at home by Blackpool in a dramatic play-off semi-final clash which saw them having to aim for promotion again during the 2010/11 season - and Davies guided Forest to another top six finish but his side were once again beaten in the pay-off semi-finals by Swansea City.

Davies left the City Ground the following summer, but he returned for his second spell at the club in February 2013 helping to steer his side to am 8th place finish at the end of the 2012/13 campaign, before getting his side off to a flying start to the following season, but a mixture of injuries and inconsistent performances saw them drop out of the top six and the club parted company with him in March 2014.

The former Derby manager's second spell in charge of the club is to date his last managerial job, and some Nottingham Forest fans believe that whilst he got the Reds playing some exciting football under his tenure, the fact that he has not found another job so far could be down to him being somewhat self destructive at times in terms of his comments to the media.
