It's been a difficult Championship campaign for Middlesbrough so far this season.

Having narrowly missed out on a place in the play-offs under Tony Pulis last season, new manager Jonathan Woodgate has struggled to get 'Boro into a similar position.

Despite a strong end to 2019, a poor start to 2020 has dragged Woodgate's side back into a relegation battle, with the North East club currently 18th in the Championship table, six points clear of the relegation zone.

Indeed, there only Wigan and Barnsley - both of whom currently find themselves inside the relegation zone - have picked up fewer wins this season than the eight enjoyed by 'Boro so far in the campaign.

It seems therefore, as though plenty of other sides have put in some eye-catching performances against Woodgate's side this season, with 'Boro being held to 13 draws, and also suffering 12 defeats.

But which opposition team has been the most impressive against Middlesbrough this season?

We put that question to a number of the Riverside Stadium faithful on the "Middlesbrough Football Club" Facebook group, and here, is a look at what some of them had to say.

Joe Boyes-Jackson: "Fulham"

Craig Rugg: "We made Sheff Wed look like Brazil."

Andrew Hill: "Sheffield Wednesday"

Dave Kelly: "Fulham or Forest"

Phil Cooper: "Leeds"

Mike Thompson: "Fulham. Great attacking and possession football."

Chud Duddy: "Most teams that we played were so superior, Birmingham away, made them look like Barcelona. Not being negative, just truthful."
