When Grant Hanley got injured earlier this season, Norwich fans would have been well within their rights to be concerned.

A fine Championship defender on his day, Hanley is a well-liked player at Carrow Road and is certainly one that Daniel Farke would like to be able to call upon.

However, thanks to the form of those that have stepped in, upon Hanley's return - potentially the middle of next month - an instant ushering back into the side might not be on the way.

Indeed, in our latest FLW Chemistry piece, where we assess the relationship between players, our  subjects are Christoph Zimmermann and Timm Klose:

Zimmermann has 8 Championship appearances to his name whilst Klose has 13 this year and when they play together they do seem to have a pretty decent working partnership.

Zimmermann, of course, is a huge presence at the back - towering over most forwards and proving very hard to beat whilst Klose is by no means small.

A pair of giants that are a force at the other end too - as their win at the City Ground showed this weekend - they are providing a rock-hard base on which the Yellows are building a top-six challenge.

Norwich, of course, had a fine defence last season and proved hard to beat but, as they looked for a better balance going forwards as well, the goals started to leak in this year as things got underway.

They conceded eleven goals in their first five league games this year but since, things have tightened up.

In their last eight, they've conceded just five whilst still managing to win games.

Certainly, things are looking promising at Carrow Road and, if the towering pair at the back can keep it up, there's no reason why the rest of the side won't follow suit.
