Arsenal lifted the FA Cup for the 14th time in their history yesterday, beating Chelsea 2-1 at Wembley.

It was two goals from Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang that sealed the trophy, overcoming ten-man Chelsea to leave Frank Lampard in a sombre mood.

They did so as well with Emiliano Martinez in goal. The Argentine has been thrust into the starting line-up with Bernd Leno sidelined and after ten years at the club, fans are starting to realise how good a keeper he is.

But Reading fans already knew. They saw Martinez join the club on-loan for the second-half of the 2018/19 season and grew to love the 27-year-old.

It was an emotional win for Martinez yesterday. He’s spent so long as Arsenal’s understudy, had so many loan spells and only now if he reaping the rewards.
