Nottingham Forest will be looking to bounce back from their recent defeat to Fulham when they face Queens Park Rangers at the Kiyan Prince Foundation Stadium tomorrow.
The Reds suffered their first major setback of Steve Cooper’s time in charge of the club last weekend as they slumped to a 4-0 defeat at the hands of the Cottagers.
Now set to face a QPR side who are currently seventh in the Championship standings, Forest will know that they will need to be at their very best if they are to secure a positive result in this fixture.
Whilst Cooper is set to be without Rodrigo Ely, Loic Mbe Soh and Jordi Osei-Tutu for this clash due to their respective injury issues, the Forest boss may opt to make some alterations to his side on Friday.
Here, we take a look at how the Reds could line up in their meeting with QPR…
Cooper may decide to slightly alter his side’s formation for this clash to 3-4-2-1 set up.
Goalkeeper Brice Samba will be looking to claim his third clean-sheet of the season in tomorrow’s clash with QPR.
Scott McKenna, Tobias Figueiredo and Joe Worrall will be tasked with providing cover for Samba in their defensive roles.
Meanwhile, Max Lowe and Djed Spence will once again occupy the full-back positions for the club.
Cooper could opt to recall James Garner to Forest’s starting eleven for this fixture if he is willing to freshen up his options in central-midfield.
If he is given the nod to start, Garner will be determined to produce a positive display alongside Ryan Yates who has yet to miss a league game this season.
Philip Zinckernagel and Brennan Johnson will be tasked with providing creativity from their attacking midfield roles whilst Lyle Taylor could be given the chance to lead the line for Forest.
The forward recently delivered a fantastic cameo display against Bristol City at Ashton Gate as he scored twice to secure victory for his side in this particular clash.
By replicating this performance against QPR, Taylor could potentially fire Forest to another memorable triumph on their travels.
