Lyle Taylor is likely to be given a chance to impress Steve Cooper tomorrow night as Nottingham Forest travel to Barnsley.
The Reds are set to be without Lewis Grabban, who limped off in Saturday’s draw with Millwall due to a suspected thigh injury.
It remains to be seen how long Grabban is missing for, but the likelihood is that he will miss tomorrow night’s trip to Oakwell having walked straight down the tunnel looking dejected.
This presents Taylor – the man who replaced him from the bench at the weekend – with an opportunity to impress new boss Cooper from the off.
Taylor has struggled for form and performances this season, and has failed to score since the opening day defeat to Coventry City.
But the striker will be keen to regain his form in front of goal sooner rather than later, and he has took to Instagram to reflect on Saturday’s result and atmosphere.

Taylor called Saturday a ‘building block’, and was quick to praise the home crowd’s ‘top, top support’.
For me, Taylor needs to make real improvements as he doesn’t impose himself enough as a lone striker.
What Grabban does well is drop deep and hold the ball up, but Taylor prefers playing on the last man and running in behind which doesn’t really suit the way Forest play.
He will be desperate to get back amongst the goals as soon as possible.
