There’s a lot to like about the business that Luton Town have done so far this summer as they look to build on the progress made by Nathan Jones in his first full season back at the helm.
He may still want to add one or two new signings, however, while players could well be set to leave Kenilworth Road.
With that in mind, here’s all the latest Hatters transfer news…
Portsmouth likely to be priced out of Joe Morell move
Luton Town midfielder Joe Morrell has been linked with a move to Portsmouth this summer, with Danny Cowley keen to reunite with him at Fratton Park.
However, Hampshire Live has indicated that Pompey are likely to be priced out of a move for the 24-year-old, who still has two years left on his current deal.
Hatters boss Nathan Jones has previously suggested the club will listen to offers for Morrell.
Luton target back training with his former club
The Hatters are thought to be one of a number of Championship sides interested in Joe Pigott, who left Wimbledon as a free agent earlier this summer.
Dons manager Mark Robinson has told London News Online that Pigott is back training with the club but confirmed that the striker will not be signing a new deal with his former side.
He explained: “It is purely just doing him a favour to keep him fit and sharp.”

Hatters miss out as Sunderland strike deal
Sunderland have tied Luton target Luke O’Nien down for a further three years, likely ending the club’s pursuit of the versatile midfielder.
O’Nien was reportedly on the radar of the likes of the Hatters and Millwall, with his contract up at the Stadium of Light this summer.
However, the Black Cats annouced yesterday that the 26-year-old had signed a new three-year contract.
