Luton Town continued their march to promotion last night as they beat Crawley Town 4-1 at home in League Two.

It's been a memorable season so far for the Hatters with a number of big wins being chalked up as well as a trip to Newcastle United in the FA Cup but all that will count for nothing if they do not earn promotion now.

They're in a good way to achieve that, though, as they halted Crawley's unbeaten run in pretty ruthless fashion to keep themselves well and truly as the side to beat in the fourth tier.

An important win, then, but also a significant one with it marking Nathan Jones' 100th game in charge of the club.

Indeed, not only that, he's recorded this rather impressive accolade as per Simon Pitts on Twitter:

Jones is regarded as one of the best around in terms of young managers in the Football League and if this keeps up, Luton are going to have to fight hard to keep hold of him.

The Verdict

Jones just keeps impressing and he's starting to chalk up some serious numbers in charge of Luton right now.

Promotion will cap a fine season, then, and then the Hatters would be wise to take his mobile for the summer so no-one can offer him a job!
