Luton Town attacking midfielder Izzy Brown has sent a message after he finally bagged his first goal for the club on Tuesday night at Kenilworth Road.

It came in a 2-1 win against Charlton Athletic, with Brown bagging the winner just before the hour mark to complete a comeback for Graeme Jones, and after the Chelsea loanee was quick to share his thoughts.

Taking to Twitter he wrote: "It’s been coming!! The support was crazy tonight, see you saturday🧡🧡".

It is the latest action in what has been an impressive campaign for the 22-year-old as he looks to put his miserable spell with Leeds United behind him.

This season has already seen him provide six assists and now one goal as well, smashing his record from the previous season where he registered none of either, making just two appearances for the Whites in an injury riddled spell.

Pelly-Ruddock Impanzu equalised for the hosts in the 19th minute after Jonathan Leko had given the hosts an early lead, finishing smartly from the edge of the box to the bottom left corner.

Andrew Shinnie then laid a chance on a plate for Brown seven minutes into the second period and he made no mistake with the finish.

It is a win that lifts the Hatters out of the relegation zone with 17 points and will be looking to move further afield when they travel to Brentford on Saturday.

The verdict

It is so hard not to be delighted for Brown this season.

He had a torrid time with Leeds, through no fault of his own or the club's, so to see him bounce back the way he is this season is serious testament to his character.

Whilst Luton continue to look defensively suspect, Brown's attacking contributions could prove crucial in whether they survive the drop or not.
