Kal Naismith has admitted that Luton will need to improve upon their FA Cup win if they are to beat leaders Bournemouth.

Luton went into the game on the back of a big 4-0 win over Harrogate Town last weekend but despite the big score line, Harrogate were unfortunate not to take anything away from the game.

It was Luton's first game in 29 days after Covid forced them into a break over Christmas as rising cases lead to four games being postponed.

The large gap between games was telling in their 4-0 win, with Naismith acknowledging a better performance is neededas he told Luton Today: "We’ve got respect for Bournemouth.

"They’ve showed their the best team in the Championship right now and if we play like we did today (Sunday) whether we would win the game 4-0 I don’t know, but we’ve got a weeks training to improve on this." Naismith went onto admit that, if Luton are in top form they can get result against the Cherries: “We can beat anyone on our day, we have got unbelievable players all over the pitch. “Bournemouth will be tough, but we’ll train well, prepare well and look forward to it.” Luton take on Bournemouth on Saturday with the game kicking off at 12:30. The Verdict Naismith has been a revelation since moving to Luton from Wigan last season. Coincidentally, his first game for Luton came in a 1-0 win against Bournemouth and the Scotsman will be hoping for more of the same here. It will be a tough game, but Luton showed in the reverse fixture that they can at the very least compete and if they take their chances, they can get a result too.
