Luton Town striker Izzy Brown has sent a message to supporters following an impressive weekend for the Hatters.
Saturday saw Graeme Jones’ side see off promotion hopefuls Bristol City 3-0 at Kenilworth Road but Brown is clearly keeping himself grounded ahead of Wednesday night’s clash with Fulham.
Taking to Twitter, the on loan Chelsea man said: “New week, new challenges. Let’s get it!”
Luton took the leade ten minutes into the second half, with Pelly-Ruddock Mpanzu curling home a brilliant right-footed effort following James Collins’ pass.
Can Luton beat Fulham on Wednesday?
And it was 2-0 just six minutes later, with Brown heavily involved, slipping fellow midfielder Harry Cornick through on goal before he finished brilliantly past Dan Bentley.
Ashley Williams fired into his own net in injury time to add further insult to the travelling fans but it was job very well done for the Hatters.
Since arriving in Luton, Brown has made nine Championship appearances, racking up three assists in that time, although he will be desperate to notch his first goal.
That chance may come on Wednesday night when they make the trip to Craven Cottage to face another promotion-hopeful in Fulham.
I think a lot of football fans would love to see Brown have a brilliant season following the injury issues he has had to contend with in recent years.
He pretty much wasted an entire campaign last season with Leeds and it is high-time that some luck went his way.
Luton seems to be an ideal fit, however. There is significantly less pressure but they are still a side commited to playing good passing football.
