Sheffield Wednesday have had a terrible season in the main this term, and it doesn't look like getting much better soon, with the Owls struggling for any sort of form and being knocked out of the FA Cup this mid-week by Swansea.

New manager Jos Luhukay will be hoping for a chance this summer to rebuild his squad and with that will come the shedding of what some people believe to be dead wood at Hillsborough, with previous manager Carlos Carvalhal awarding some big contracts to a few Premier League players in the process.

One player who could be in danger this summer but is one of few who might fetch a decent fee, is striker Jordan Rhodes, who can mark his time in S6 so far down as nothing short of a disaster.

A big money signing from Middlesbrough a few transfer windows back, the Scottish international has looked out of sorts for Wednesday, seemingly lacking fitness, while the glut of goals which have followed his career have not transcended into his spell in the blue and white of the Owls.

He is though still a quality operator on his day, and with Rhodes being on a big contract and maintaining some of his reputation in the Championship, there is bound to be a club or two willing to give him another go.

It's a shame for Rhodes in that his Wednesday move has not panned out as he would have liked, but a move in the summer could reignite his career and give him one last goal run.

Owls fans, what do you think to this? Good decision to sell Rhodes? Let us know!
