Sheffield Wednesday have endured a tough start to the Championship season, with the pressure continuing to grow on Jos Luhukay.

Things haven’t been easy for Luhukay at Hillsborough since he arrived in early 2018, with Wednesday’s injury list never ending and some key players unavailable for unknown reasons.

Luhukay’s side are mid-table in the Championship now, but hovering just above a group of clubs fighting relegation after 17 fixtures.

In the last five fixtures, Wednesday are winless, having scored just two goals in that time, which has pulled them closer to that group.

It’s a worrying run of form for the Hillsborough club, who will need a shake-up in January if their season is to be turned around.

Additions are needed, but some players need to be on the move, with the fringes looking overcrowded.

Supporters want to see Westwood reinstated as No.1 at Hillsborough, but it isn’t going to happen.

Westwood is well out of the picture, with Cameron Dawson and Joe Wildsmith competing for the goalkeeping gloves.

The Irishman’s situation at Hillsborough should come to a head in January, with a departure surely on the cards.

Wednesday supporters might then get some answers.

Jones has featured just once in the Championship this season, with the 34-year-old having plenty of competition for a place in midfield.

He should be another Wednesday are looking to get off the books in the New Year.
