Sheffield Wednesday lost ground on the play-off chasing pack as they were beaten 1-0 by Leeds United at Elland Road on Saturday evening.

Jack Harrison's goal midway through the second-half proved to be the difference between the two sides, which makes their chances of breaking into the top six extremely slim.

But the mood amongst the Sheffield Wednesday players seems to still be optimistic in training as one player has mocked his team-mate's fashion sense yet again.

Owls forward, Lucas Joao has poked fun at team-mate, Fernando Forestieri in a post on his Instagram story and has issued his verdict on the Italian's choice of footwear at training today.

Their defeat means that Bruce's side are now six points adrift of the top six, and any chance they had of breaking into the play-off places seems to be fading away.

Joao and Forestieri will be keen to prove to the Sheffield Wednesday boss exactly what they can offer the team, as they are yet to hit their best form this season.

The Owls are next in action when they take on league-leaders, Norwich City at Carrow Road on Good Friday, in what is likely to be one of their toughest tests of the season.

The Verdict:

I can't see them making the play-off places.

Sheffield Wednesday needed to pick up points against Leeds to stand any chance of reaching the top six before the season reaches a conclusion.

It's good to see that the mood amongst the squad is still good heading towards the end of this year's campaign though.
