Sheffield Wednesday have been on excellent form since the turn of the year and, with their season now all but over, they have time to take in different activities.

For Lucas Joao and Michael Hector this meant a trip to the Crucible to watch David Gilbert play John Higgins in the semi-finals of the snooker World Championships, a game that was stoped at 5-3 to Gilbert.

Joao posted a photograph on his Instagram story showing himself and Hector sat on the front row ahead of their final match of the season against Queens Park Rangers.

Both players have been crucial this season as the club turned what could have been a disastrous one into an impressive one.

Portuguese striker Joao has played 30 times in the Championship this season, racking up an impressive ten goals in the process.

Hector made the move to Hillsborough at the end of the summer transfer window, signing on a season-long loan from Chelsea, making 37 appearances and being named the club's player of the season.

The verdict

Each to their own, I suppose!

Snooker is not my cup of tea but I imagine after a rollercoaster of a Championship season it is perhaps smart to watch a more relaxing sport.

Both players have earned their personal time.
