Plymouth Argyle manager Ryan Lowe has revealed that striker Ryan Taylor missed Saturday's 1-1 draw at Swindon Town with a possible hamstring injury.

Taylor appeared as a second-half substitute in the 0-3 win away at Swindon last Tuesday in the Leasing.Com Cup but struggled to get through training for the rest of the week as he suffered from his injury, which Plymouth are still awaiting results on.

Lowe has seen his attacking options this season hit by a small injury crisis, with current forwards Byron Moore and Dominic Telford also sat on the sidelines following recent hamstring injuries, and fellow forward Joel Grant also had a small hamstring niggle earlier on in the campaign.

Taylor has had a positive impact for the Pilgrims so far this season having made 14 appearances under new manager Lowe and is currently their joint-top scorer for the season with three goals.

Plymouth will be looking to get their squad back to full fitness though as the side are sat 11th in the league table on 17 points and are four points off the Playoffs as they look for an immediate return to League One.

The Verdict

Plymouth will be hoping that their medical team as well as their strength & conditioning team are working closely with the injured players to make sure that they suffer no reoccurences of the current injuries their squad seem to be bogged down with.

Lowe will be surely holding an inquest into how hard the players are pushing themselves and whether the repetitive injuries are a result of the training, or more underlying causes.
