Leeds United avoided a potential cup upset, as they comfortably swept aside League Two side, Salford City with a 3-0 win at Moor Lane on Tuesday evening.

Marcelo Bielsa's side went ahead on the night just before half-time, as on-loan Arsenal striker, Eddie Nketiah fired home from close range to give the Whites a deserved lead.

The lead was then doubled on 50 minutes, as Gaetano Berardi flicked the ball home from a Helder Costa corner to give Leeds some breathing space.

Mateusz Klich then made it three shortly after and Leeds ran out comfortable winners on the night to progress to the next round of the Carabao Cup, where they'll host Stoke City.

There will have been fears that the Whites could fall victim to a shock exit from the competition, but Marcelo Bielsa's side looked untroubled for the majority of the game against Salford.

Plenty of the Elland Road faithful were pleased with what they saw from their side on the night.
