Nottingham Forest were beaten by West Bromwich Albion at the City Ground during their opening match of the 2019/20 campaign, throwing away a one-goal lead to lose 2-1 to Slaven Bilic's men.

One player who missed that match was centre-back Yohan Benalouane, carrying a suspension through from the end of the previous season.

However, the Algerian made a bit of a splash on Wednesday when he emphatically denied rumours linking him with a move away from the City Ground for none other than Derby County.

It is not clear where the rumours came from but the Algerian was quick to put a stop to any chatter on Instagram on Wednesday, insisting he is fully comitted to Forest.

Benalouane was signed from Leicester City by Martin O'Neill during the January transfer window and went on to become a regular in the Forest squad, turning out 14 times before the end of the campaign and scoring once, becoming a fan-favourite in the process.

And that status was reinforced by the reaction he got to the post...
