Hull City have had a mixed start to their Championship campaign this season, with Grant McCann's side having picked up nine points from a possible 24 so far, with the Tigers winning two, drawing three and losing three - a record that the former Doncaster boss will be looking to improve. 

With Hull looking to improve performances on the pitch, it would be easy for fans to not be distracted by events going on off it. However, an announcement today via the club's website has been well received by many a Tigers fan, with one of their club legends returning home, in the form of Andy Dawson as Lead Professional Development Phase Coach.

Dawson of course turned out for the East Riding of Yorkshire based side on over 250 occasions, with the left back scoring seven and assisting 25 during a 10-year association with the club. The defender also went on to play for Scunthorpe United on over 20 occasions before retiring in 2014.
