Sheffield Wednesday picked up a good point last night in the Championship against Reading, holding the Royals to a 1-1 draw at Hillsborough.
Tony Pulis’ side took the lead through Callum Paterson on 12 minutes, but lost Liam Shaw to a red card on the half-hour mark.
Lucas Joao – on his return to Hillsborough – equalised for Reading on the stroke of half-time, but the Royals were unable to capitalise on their man advantage and Wednesday picked up a decent point.
Carvalhal? Luhukay? Who was the Sheffield Wednesday manager when each of these 15 Owls moments happened?
For Paterson, he was leading the line and notched another goal. His hard work and scoring exploits were enough to draw praise from some fans on social media.
However, it was not lost on others that the striker lost Joao for the Reading goal and plenty of fans were voicing their frustration with his marking.
Ultimately, on a good evening for Wednesday, it was a mixed evening for Paterson.
We dive into the reaction of the Owls fans to his performance here…
It’s players as hard working as Paterson, Luongo and Harris that get you through games like that one. Proud of the players tonight! #SWFC

Pleased with that point, thought we did quite well in spells in the first half. Goal was a fantastic move, well taken by Paterson. #swfc

Awful defending from Paterson there….Warnock was right, he's not a defender. Not sure about the FK award tho' #swfc

Paterson is very poor, hoping it’s just that he’s not a striker #swfc
