Charlton Athletic's majority shareholder Tahnoon Nimer has a 'two-year plan' for the club.

In a recent interview with TeamTalk which his excellency posted on Instagram, Nimer outlined his 'two-year' vision for Charlton, in which he hopes to land the club in the Premier League.

He cites the Manchester City example and hopes to follow in the footsteps of Sheikh Mansour, but he's a long way to go - Charlton sit 19th in the Championship table, four points above the drop zone.

Nimer and Matt Southall though have reinstated a lot of missing optimism at The Valley, and East Street Investment's takeover of the club at the start of the year brought to an end the contested rule of Roland Duchatelet, and symbolises the dawn of a new era.

Plenty of Charlton fans had their say on Nimer's message on Instagram, and here's what they had to say:

dr_cheese_se7: Let's just get this season over with then build in the summer and you watch the season ticket sales grow. I will have one regardless but unlike under Roland I'll be happy to buy one and not just getting it because Charlton's an Addicktion I can't shake.

cm.rn15: Super Tahnoon Nimer.

pong_blip: If it happens or not, investment comes and goes, at least from the top down we have a leader with vision, courage and bravery to try.

dcha88: What a man.

brayash24: Love the ambition but even if it takes longer to get to the Prem it doesn’t matter.

claresadlier: Your vision is amazing. The fans have that vision too 🙌🏼🔴⚪️

benhunt_93: Looking forward to the journey, Tahnoon.
