Barnsley have taken to Twitter to unveil their new Puma away strip ahead of their return to the Championship.

As confirmed by the club's website, the Tykes' shirt incorporates a v-neck collar with a gold and blue pattern blazoned across the upper half with the lower half sporting a navy colour.

On the back of the strip, 'COYR' (come on you Reds) features with Barnsley opting to celebrate a chant that is heard week-in, week-out at Oakwell. The kit is topped off with navy blue shorts and socks.

Barnsley will predominately wear the new kit on their travels during the upcoming campaign as they look to proved their supporters with a memorable year in the second-tier following last season's promotion from League One.

Manager Daniel Stendel has already been extremely busy in the transfer window, bringing in no fewer than 10 new players with Conor Chaplin being the Tykes' most recent arrival having signed for the club from Coventry City on Friday.

Reacting to the club's kit reveal on Twitter, plenty of Barnsley fans lauded the announcement.

Here are some of the best responses from the Tykes fans...

Due to the fact that the kit's primary colours clash with those of Sheffield Wednesday, Birmingham City and Wigan Athletic, it may not receive its competitive bow until the club face Nottingham Forest on September 21st.
