Fulham piled more misery on Hull City last night in the Sky Bet Championship, handing Leonid Slutsky’s side a 2-1 defeat at Craven Cottage.

Hull made a positive start to the Championship season under Slutsky, and headed into the international break at the end of August with seven points from five fixtures.

However, since the start of September and their return to Championship action, Hull have suffered back-to-back defeats on the road, losing to both Derby County and Fulham.

Last Friday night saw Hull lose 5-0 to Derby, and despite putting in a much-improved display against Fulham, Slutsky’s side could not salvage anything from Craven Cottage.

Jarrod Bowen’s goal cancelled out Floyd Ayite’s opener, but Stefan Johansen’s strike just after an hour secured all three points for Fulham, leaving Hull in 16th.

Slutsky’s side now return to the KCOM Stadium at the weekend, when they look to return to winning ways against Sunderland.
