One particular deal that will have frustrated West Brom fans this summer was when teenage striker Louie Barry left the club for Barcelona.

The youngster joins a growing list of talented players who have decided to leave Albion and the fact he was moving to Spain meant the Baggies are only entitled to a small fee from the Catalans.

As it happens, Barcelona are disputing even paying that to the Championship side and the case is now going to be resolved by FIFA in the coming months.

And, it could be said that all this off-field confusion surrounding his transfer isn't helping Barry at all, with the England youth international struggling since making the move to the Nou Camp.

Whilst it's understandable for a young lad who is adapting to a new country, style of play and trying to learn a language, he will still have been frustrated by the lack of progress made.

Barry is yet to play a full 90 minutes for Barca and hasn't made the squad for the past two games, whilst key figures behind the deal, including the coach and the general manager, have both left since the forward arrived.

The West Brom striker quiz – Can you get 15 out of 15?

Admittedly, it should be said that he is a 16-year-old trying to play for the club's U19 side, so patience may be required but it seems as though the lack of game time is already a concern.

Most Albion fans might feel that this was going to be an obvious problem for Barry and have little sympathy for him after he decided to leave and it will be interesting to see if he can start making an impact in the coming months.
