Leeds United kicked off their pre-season trip to Australia on Wednesday afternoon with a huge clash against arch-rivals Manchester United.
But it ended in bitter disappointment for Whites fans in the stadium and watching from home as Ole Gunna Solskjær’s side ran out 4-0 winners in Perth.
Youngster Mason Greenwood opened the scoring just seven minutes into proceedings and it was 2-0 by half-time thanks to Marcus Rashford, who breezed past a helpless Gaetano Berardi before finishing cooly passed Kiko Casilla.

It is not the way many Leeds fans will have dreamt it goin as Marcelo Bielsa’s side struggled badly to create any real chances of note for themselves.
Second half goals from Phil Jones and Anthony Martial confirmed a comfortable victory and plenty of Leeds fans were dispondent.
However, after the LUFCDATA provided a closer look at the statistics, many were able to draw many more positives from the match…
Not as bad as the scoreline suggests, lot of positives to take away from it.

Despite the score line, the heart, effort and performance put in has me optimistic for this season.

We played some good football! But the result (maybe not 4-0) was to be expected against a strong man u and us missing some key players. #LUFC

Looking at United fans talking they think that was their strongest team, definitely wasn’t ours!
