It is safe to say that there is no love lost between Leeds United’s supporters and Garry Monk, after the 38-year-old turned his back on Elland Road during the summer.

Monk led Leeds to a seventh placed finish in the Sky Bet Championship last season, a vast improvement on what many were expecting.

However, Monk opted to resign from his role at Elland Road over the summer, linking up with Championship rivals, Middlesbrough.

Leeds’ feelings toward Monk were clear during last month’s clash between Leeds and Boro, where the Whites recorded a 2-1 victory over their former boss.

That defeat at Elland Road has been the start of a miserable run of form for Boro, who have now lost three of their last four, which has sent them crashing down to ninth in the Championship table.

Monk has taken to Twitter to apologise for Boro’s recent form, much to the delight of Leeds’ supporters, who have stuck to boot into their former head-coach.

Here is some reaction…
