Marcelo Bielsa's Leeds side returned to the top of the Championship table at the weekend, as they narrowly defeated Wigan Athletic.

Pablo Hernandez and Kemar Roofe goals proved crucial after Reece James had given Wigan an early lead on Sunday afternoon, but Leeds fans will be pleased to see their key duo on the scoresheet on their return from injury.

Roofe in particular will be pleased to add to his already impressive tally this season, as he made it seven league goals this season for the Whites.

The 25-year-old is out of contract in the summer of 2020, and Leeds fans will be keen for him to commit his long-term future to the club with speculation already increasing about a potential move elsewhere to the Premier League.

Former Leeds United legend, Ian Harte, has called for Roofe to be offered a new deal with the club this season, as his future with Bielsa's side is currently unclear.

Harte's comments have been met with a largely negative reaction from Leeds supporters, who claim that they would rather see Roofe playing for the shirt and will want to see him fire the club to promotion, before a new deal is offered.
