Bolton Wanderers currently sit second from bottom of the Championship table with eight games of the current season remaining.

But it is off-field issues that have been on the minds of fans with owner Ken Anderson hoping have to completed the sale of the club to a Cheshire business consortium by this week.

But in another twist, that deal has now fallen through and the club now face a winding up petition in court tomorrow.

If the petition is successful it could lead to the club going into administration and being handed a 12 point deduction as a result.

Anderson has been coming under fire in recent weeks after failing to pay the wages of playing staff as well as the club’s caterers leading to training being cancelled on more than one occasion.
