Portsmouth could certainly benefit from signing another striking option this term, as competitions for places is never a bad thing in a squad that are likely to be challenging for promotion.
Hiwula has shown that he knows where the back of the net is in League One, having scored for Coventry City over the years in the third-tier.
If he can get back to his best this season, then he could be the ideal striker to have challenging for a starting spot in Kenny Jackett’s side.
On a free-transfer as well, it’s a shrewd move by Pompey, as it’s a deal that won’t cost them a considerable amount of money.
