Two quick-fire second-half goals proved the catalyst for Millwall to go on and record their first victory at The Den since beating Luton Town in October.

Scott Malone scored a goal reminiscent of Paul Gascoigne's against Scotland at Wembley at Euro 96 to put the Lions in front midway through the second period before Ben Thompson thumped home his first goal of the campaign to put Gary Rowett's men in cruise control.

Tom Bradshaw then deflected home Mahlon Romeo's shot in stoppage-time to ensure Millwall scored four times in a game for the first time since thrashing Huddersfield Town on the final day of last season.

Millwall's wretched home record looked like continuing when Callum Paterson, at the second attempt, put Sheffield Wednesday into an early lead.

But Ryan Leonard was bundled over six minutes before the break, and with Jed Wallace on the bench, Kenneth Zohore took over penalty duties before lashing into the top left-hand corner.

The win extended the Lions' unbeaten run in the Championship to five matches, and moved the South London outfit seven points clear of the relegation-zone and in touch with the top-half.

There was several good performances from Millwall, but perhaps no more so than Scott Malone, whose impressive goal capped off another performance.
